My girlfriend and I are in a long-distance relationship, seeing each other only once every few months. Each time we meet, the routine is basically the same: first, I arrive at our destination, meet her, find a place to stay, settle in, and then we go out to find a nice place to eat. Because the journey takes a long time, we usually arrive at her place around dinnertime. After dinner, we wander around a bit, then go back to our place to shower, watch TV, and rest.

The next day is usually the same: watching a movie, shopping for clothes, etc. All girlfriends are the same; they can spend an entire afternoon, several hours in clothing stores, and then buy nothing. I try to persuade her to buy something, but she still doesn’t. Actually, my thought is to buy everything and go home quickly, because my legs are about to give out, but I have to pretend that she can take her time choosing.

Watching movies is also a regular occurrence. Since we’ve been together for so long, we’ve already done all the things couples do, so it’s mostly the same old things, nothing new. Slowly, our passionate romance has faded into a mundane routine, but it’s fine this way. I’m used to having you, and you’re used to having me!

One last thing: every time I’m about to leave, she cries at the train station. How can I handle this? She cries so hard her snot is coming out, and I can’t calm her down at all!
